Litter: Pine shavings, paper pellets, or bedding pellets work great!
-
Water bowl or bottle
-
Food bowl: A ceramic bowl works great because they can’t tip it over or one that attaches to the cage.

Cage mat or bed: Especially if their cage has a wire bottom. Being on the wire without a place to get off can irritate the bunnies feet.

Food
-
Rabbit Food: Please do not feed your bunny food with colorful pieces or nuts mixed in. These do not give your bunny the right balance of protein and fiber. I would recommend getting Manna Pro or either Purina Rabbit Chow Complete Wholesome AdvantEdge . It has all the essential nutrients needed for growth, maintenance and reproduction.
-
Timothy Hay: This helps with digestion and with their teeth. I recommend just keeping the hay rack filled.
-
Veggies & Fruits: Apples (no seeds), Carrots, Carrot tops, Strawberries, and Blueberries can be given after 12-15 weeks of age.
-
Treats: Black Oil Sunflower Seeds are great to give as a treat after 4 months. 5-10 seeds only. It’s great for their fur and provides energy in the colder months.
Water
-
Make sure your bunny has PLENTY of water at all times. You can mix a drop of Apple Cider Vinegar in with their water. It helps with so many things such as- keeping their immune system up, clearing up skin conditions and infections, helping with eye issues, helping their fur stay soft and shiny, and helping with any types of GI tract issues. It also makes rabbits unattractive to worms, fleas and mites.
Toys
-
Rabbits love toys to keep them busy. Some greats ones are: toilet paper roll stuffed with hay/treats, cat toy balls, and wood toys to help with trimming down their teeth.
Cages
-
Your bunny needs a cage that is at least 24” by 24” and a 24” by 30” for 2 bunnies but of course the bigger the better!
-
Bunnies need a mat or bed to lay on if living in a wire type cage.
